Fly The Flag
Lou Dobbs Tonight broadcast of a story where a hospital worker in Texas hung an American Flag in her office which was taken down by a co-worker who happened to be from another country and found the flag to be offensive. This is a direct disrespect towards the United States of America and every American Citizen.
It is every American Citizen’s First Amendment right to fly their flag whenever and wherever they want. Who do these people from other countries think they are to come here, to the United States and dictate to other American Citizens when and where they hang and fly their flag? If it’s so offensive, go back to your own country.
Why do people emigrate here? Why not stay in your own country and try and change it and make it better there for your own countrymen instead of abandoning it and coming here. Or, come here illegally, work, not pay taxes or contribute to the well-being of the United States and send the money earned back to their families. While supporting one’s family and being committed to it is a noble cause, it should not be done at the expense of others and another country. If you’re here illegally, you don’t serve in the military, you don’t pay taxes, yet complain about the very foundations on which this country was built.
The Flag of the United States of America stands for the very freedoms for which immigrants come to this country.
Any American Citizen who disagrees doesn’t deserve to call themselves an American Citizen.
