The Miserable People

Someone once said “you can be pleased with nothing if you’re not pleased with yourself” I can’t recall where that quote came from but it’s true.
As a result of this phrase, those who are not pleased with themselves thrive on making the lives of others around them miserable. When everyone around them is less than they are; less qualified, less intelligent, and not able to do something as well as they can do it. And when the job is done, there’s always a criticism of how it might have or should have been done, or how they would have done it differently. It’s all meant with malice and to criticize, demean, and give the sense of dissatisfaction, when it’s really their own insecurity and jealousy of a job well done for which they cannot take credit.
Pessimists lack confidence and faith while the optimist’s cup is always half full.
People who do not like themselves can’t truly like others since there’s always that hope of failure. That the other will fail at something, or they will do what they can to set-up failure only to show their own superiority. The narcissistic thought process of justifying one’s own existence will always show through.
This makes the lives of the people around them miserable. With controlling, condescending and egotistical personalities, others around them have little hope of success, especially in the work environment.
People in this situation should not have to be subjected to such behavior. There is nobody superior to the next. There may be a superior in the work place, as in a manager or boss, however, nobody is above anyone and nobody should allow themselves to live through that type of environment and pressure.
The miserable people want company and try to spread their discontent with themselves to others making others miserable. It’s a toxic place. Theirs is a cancer spreading throughout all they come in contact with and serves no purpose and lessens the well-being of others.
Maybe the reason is they are in a life in which they don’t want to be; that they had other ambitions which never came to pass. Perhaps they would have been more content in a life of working outdoors as opposed to an office, or as doctor instead of always being the patient. Their own shortfalls or missed directions in life are no reason to make the lives of others miserable.
What’s the answer to the miserable people? The answer lies within them. Only a revelation or religious epiphany or some earth shattering event might make them change. People can try and help and be optimistic that their help is accepted. If it’s not, maybe try a second time. If it’s all to no avail, change won’t come and all that's left is to remove yourself from the situation and surroundings of those miserable people.
Nobody should allow themselves to be subjected to condescending, demeaning situations. Humility is a virtue; one the miserable people will never realize because their perception of themselves is above and beyond everyone else.
To try and live up to their expectations is impossible since they will always perceive themselves as above you and their expectations will always change. There will always be a criticism, and something more that could have been done. Nothing is ever enough even when there’s nothing left, they will still want more.

All this does to the people around them is cause grief, and causes the life to be sucked out of them. It leads to a questioning of themselves and their own abilities. When this occurs, the situation must be changed and the miserable people left behind to live their misconceived lives and hope one day they will wake up and realize they can’t make others around them miserable because of their distorted misconceptions of themselves.

Fly The Flag proudly

Fly The Flag

Lou Dobbs Tonight broadcast of a story where a hospital worker in Texas hung an American Flag in her office which was taken down by a co-worker who happened to be from another country and found the flag to be offensive. This is a direct disrespect towards the United States of America and every American Citizen.

It is every American Citizen’s First Amendment right to fly their flag whenever and wherever they want. Who do these people from other countries think they are to come here, to the United States and dictate to other American Citizens when and where they hang and fly their flag? If it’s so offensive, go back to your own country.

Why do people emigrate here? Why not stay in your own country and try and change it and make it better there for your own countrymen instead of abandoning it and coming here. Or, come here illegally, work, not pay taxes or contribute to the well-being of the United States and send the money earned back to their families. While supporting one’s family and being committed to it is a noble cause, it should not be done at the expense of others and another country. If you’re here illegally, you don’t serve in the military, you don’t pay taxes, yet complain about the very foundations on which this country was built.

The Flag of the United States of America stands for the very freedoms for which immigrants come to this country.

Any American Citizen who disagrees doesn’t deserve to call themselves an American Citizen.
